The more the cult talks about how certain kinds of sex is bad the more the members will do it. I heard things from the stage I would have never thought of. I always found it interesting how a God made us to have sex and made it enjoyable but religion came along and put so many restrictions on it. Talk about control with guilt!!l. Still Totally ADD

Could this be the catalyst that may expose the Wt. Cult to there abusive cover ups? With this in the news all the time recently what are those who have gone through this in the Borg thinking? Could it be a explosion of those coming forward? I know time will tell what happens but it will be interesting to see what happens.

No more talk about the Org. regarding Sexual abuse on this site ....what happened ???
by tor1500 inthe other day on this site, a lot of topics about the org.
and sexual abuse...now when i come on this site...crickets... what happened ?
it seems everyone is being exposed except the org...oh yes it's mentioned here and there but then it fades away...many celebrities are being exposed....& gov't officials and even our president, but not the org...ummmm.... thoughts ?.

Thank-you Tor for bringing this up. I don't understand why you got a dislike but I do understand why some feel the way they do. Faithnomore you are right about how these subjects trigger emotional turmoil to victim's. Being a victim myself when this subject came up when I was a newbie on this site it did make me very uneasy. I am 63 year old male and it stills hits me once in awhile. I found the more I talk about it the better I feel. My thoughts are keep talking about it. For those who never had this misfortune how lucky you are but Keep listening, keep listening.
I feel all who have escape from the Wt. cult have been abused in one way or another. In many cases the effects are the same. After being stunted in emotional growth for so long we all need to take time to work on our problems and grow. In this world I find it so sickening to still see victim's of abuse are looked down on when they bravely come out and expose the abuser. Let us all speak openly and honestly on this subject.
Lastly thank you darkspilver for posting these new sites to help victim's of abuse. Still Totally ADD

Welcome to the forum. It will take a lot of work on your part. This is a problem we all have since we left the cult and the reason is in the cult we was told everyone there was our friends. It took very little work on our part to make friends. In real life it take great effort to make good friends. I will stop here for there are better qualified ones on this site that can relate to you better and can give you good advice.

my top three are;.
1) service overseer during the ’ how did we do?’ annual talk, twisted the figures to such an extent that it looked like the congregations ministry was in tip-top shape.

I laugh at it now but in the day I thought it was true. Reading the Wt. and Awake was like having a college education. Going to college is evil because all all that goes on is sex, drugs and rock-n-roll this is no place for a Christian. Welcome. I feel it's hard to be a JW's no matter what sexual preference you are. They have rules on top of rules when it comes to sex. Like all good cult's they love controlling you in any way they can. Just get out of the cult as soon as you can and don't be guilty for who you are. Take care. Still Totally ADD

Bought My First Christmas Tree Last Night
by pale.emperor inlast year i didn't bother with christmas as it still felt like a "nothing" day to me (thanks watchtower!).
this is the 2nd christmas since waking up and leaving the cult and i've finally bought my first christmas tree:).
i have no idea what to do with it though.

Just enjoy the moment P.E. The first time my wife and I had a tree it was easy for me because my wife was a convert and she knew what to do. Thing was we both were having anxiety attacks over our first celebration of Christmas. Just go with the flow and have a great time doing it. Merry Christmas to you and your daughter. Still Totally ADD
